Mia's fun at the trampoline park

Mia grabbed her neon-yellow grip socks and raced toward the entrance of the "Jumpy Jungle." Today wasn't just any Saturday—it was Mia’s 5th birthday, and she felt like she was walking on air before she even hit the trampolines!

Right behind her were her three best friends: Leo, who loved to race; Sarah, who was the best at tag; and Sam, who could never stay still.

"Grip socks on?" Mia’s dad asked.

"YES!" they all shouted in a happy chorus.

The floor of the park looked like a giant checkerboard of bouncy squares. As soon as they stepped out, BOING! Mia flew into the air. Her pigtails bounced up and down like little springs.

"Let’s go to the foam pit!" Leo cheered.

They lined up at the edge of a huge pool filled with thousands of soft, blue foam cubes. One by one—1, 2, 3, JUMP!—they tumbled into the squishiness. Mia felt like she was floating in a giant bowl of marshmallows. It took a lot of giggles and wiggling for them to climb back out, only to do it all over again.

Next, they tried the "Bouncy Race." They had to hop from one end of the long trampoline track to the other. Sarah won the first round, but Mia won the second because she figured out that big, slow jumps made her go further.
